How to Choose the Right Direct Steam Injection Heater for Your Needs

Pick Bare DSI Heater in Water

  • Do you need a relatively constant flow of heated liquid at a precisely controlled temperature?  The Constant Flow Steam Injection Heater is ideal when the water flow is fixed or varies over a span of 3:1 turndown.  
  • Variable Flow Steam Injection Heater is used to accommodate wide variations in demand and frequent start-stop applications and is ideally suited as a central heating system for multiple use points such as plant sanitation.  Standard systems can handle 12:1 water flow turndown or are designed with dual control valves for up to 100:1 turndown.
  • The Pick Sanitary Steam Injection Heater/Cooker is the preferred choice for in-line product cooking, CIP heating or nitrogen gas injection.  The Pick SC heats or cooks any water-miscible liquid or slurry instantly on a continuous straight through basis. It can handle slurries containing bite sized particulate such as salsas or stews with particulate integrity retained!
  • Do you have wastewater, starch slurry or other water-miscible slurry to heat?  The unique design of the Pick BX Heater offers a low pressure drop, open flow pattern, key advantages over other high-velocity venturi devices and indirect heat exchangers.
